Activity Overview
This “Nigeria Wheelchair Support|Home Safe Haven Pilot Project” was carried out by The Home of On Hong Limited under the overseas project name “Home Safe Haven”, in coordination with the local receiving partner Rescue Helpless People Foundation in Anambra State, Nigeria.
The project focused on non-cash support and in-kind assistance. Through mobility and medical assistance supplies, the activity aimed to support people facing mobility difficulties or daily living challenges. During the visit, on-site volunteers also conducted care visits and exchanges to better understand local needs and record the delivery and receipt of support materials.
This pilot project continued our service direction of material assistance and community care, and provided useful reference for future overseas charitable cooperation, including supply arrangements, local coordination, receipt records and project review.
Service Highlights
The support focused on responding to basic daily living and care needs through suitable assistance supplies, while strengthening understanding of service recipients and local cooperation through visits and care. The receiving partner assisted with the receipt and distribution arrangements, with photos and documents kept as project records.
The “₦100,000 NGN” wording visible in the activity photo refers to a one-off on-site support made in the name of The Home of On Hong Limited after the on-site volunteer observed the local circumstances. The relevant amount was personally borne by the volunteer and was not paid from the organisation’s funds, nor was it part of the organisation’s regular cash assistance arrangement.
