Activity Overview

“Heart Across Borders · Love at On Hong — Elderly and Family Care Action II” focused on the everyday needs of elderly persons, vulnerable residents and families with special needs in the Yuen Long community. Through on-site care, home visits and community interaction, the activity aimed to bring support closer to daily life.

On the day, the service team and community partners welcomed elderly residents and families, provided suitable care supplies and took time to hear about their circumstances. Some support extended beyond the venue through visit arrangements, together with a luncheon care session that offered both practical help and companionship.

The activity was jointly organised by The Home of On Hong Limited and Hong Kong Cross-border Families Association, with Lions Club of Hong Kong New Territories East as co-organiser.

Bringing Care into Everyday Life

We want support to mean more than the distribution of supplies. A visit, a conversation and a simple meal can help elderly persons feel that someone is walking alongside them and paying attention to their daily lives.

For people with limited mobility, limited family support or special needs, the service team also arranged suitable visits and care according to the circumstances, so that support could be more personal and accessible.
